Name: Bhartaa

Pronunciation:

bhar-taa

bhar, th (as in thunder), aa (as in arrow)

Meaning:

One who “bears” everything.

Notes:

Vishnu bears everything by being “inside” of it. For example, by being inside of an earthern pot, he sustains and bears it. Similarly HE resides inside of us and protects/cares for/bears us.

Within our body also, HE resides in various forms. Every single nerve of ours also “bears” HIM in a particular form. HE is omnipresent even within our body. If HE chooses to leave a particular part of our body, the part (organ) stops working.

Namavali:

Om Bhartre Namaha Om
