Pronunciation guide:

surEshah-sharaNam-sharmaa-vishvaretaa-prajaa-bhavaha |

ahah-samvatsarO-vyaalah-pratyayah-sarva-darshanaha ||

Name: Vyalaha

Pronunciation:

Vyaa-la-ha

Vyaa, la (la in latte), ha (hu in hurt)

Meaning:

One who accepts (receives) his true devotees in a special way

Notes:

Vyala is a combination of ‘vi’, ‘a’ and ‘la’ which stand for ‘special/true’, ‘well’ and ‘receives’ respectively. Vishnu, irrespective of the circumstances, accepts his true devotees very well and grants them moksha. The case of Bhishma, who receives the full blessings of Krishna inspite of being in Duryodhana’s camp, is a testimony to this attribute of Vishnu. Hence, He is Vyala.

Namavali:

Om Vyaalaaya Namaha Om
