Name: Trikakubdhama

Pronunciation:

tri-ka-kub-dhaa-ma

tri (three), ka (ca in car), kub, dhaa, ma (ma in mars)

Meaning:

(1) One who has made the three (all) directions as his home

(2) One who is the resort for the three types of people

Notes:

Tri means three. Kakup means direction. Dhama means home. Here three indicates ‘all’ directions. Hence Vishnu is the lord of all directions.

HE is also the reason behind the three types of people – Sattvic, Rajasic and Tamasic.
