Name: Lohitakshaha
Pronunciation:
lO-hi-taak-sha-ha
lO (lo in low), hi (hi in hit), taak, sha (sha in sharp), ha (ha in hard)
Meaning:
(1) One whose eye endings are bright red
(2) One who has sight that causes good to the world
Notes:
Lohita means read. Aksha means eyes. Hence, Lohitaksha means one with red eyes. Scriptures identify 32 significations on the physical body which identify a great person. Red eyes (corner of eyes only) is one of them. The name Lohitaksha indicates that the redness of Vishnu’s eyes are unmatched in this Universe.
Another way to interpret this name is ‘ Lo – hitaksha” where Lo stands for Loka or the world. Hence, Vishnu has eyes the mere glance of which causes great good to the world.
